2020 Winners

Raw Pixel

Corporate Partner of the Year

Raw Pixel are not only creators of inspirational quality design resources  but they are also on a mission to change the world with creativity.

All of their content is produced by their own team of passionate artists and collaborators, and together we are partnering to empower children and families to fulfil their potential.

By pledging a % of their revenue from their memberships to Hope for Children they have raised an astounding £59,000 this year and their support in such a challenging year has meant so much to the whole team, especially to Immy and our colleagues in Uganda.

This donation will enable us to provide the children in this community with a new programme of mental health support which is essential to navigate the after effects of the pandemic and lockdown.

Thank-you Raw Pixel!!

George Barham and Josh Antcliff

Student Ambassadors of the Year

Josh & George won because of their endless support to their participants, their continuous positive attitude and their ability to always keep their teams spirits high! Their year began with an incredible start when they managed to recruit an exceptionally large Three Peaks team, and truly from there it has gone from strength to strength.

“George and I are incredibly grateful to have supported Hope for Children over the past year, building a great team of fundraisers who have all relished the opportunity to fundraise for such a fantastic charity!” Josh

“I’ve been so proud to work alongside Josh fundraising and building a team for Hope for Children this year. Hope-fully we have encouraged more people into the fundraising space, and to look at the amazing work that Hope for Children does on a daily basis!” George

Erin Ketteridge

Student Fundraiser of the Year

Erin took on the 3 Peaks challenge whilst studying at the University of East Anglia. She has grown so much since beginning her fundraising journey. She has truly thrown herself into the process, by continuously thinking up new and exciting ways to fundraise; from walking 100km in a month to bathing in baked beans, Erin has got seriously creative and done whatever it takes to raise money for us.

“My time with Hope for Children has been amazing – I wasn’t sure how I’d hit my fundraising total when I started, but with the support and inspiration of the charity I’ve been able to get creative and gain so much confidence and motivation! I can’t wait for our trek, and to stay in touch with Hope for Children for years to come!”

Lauren Gregory

Team Hope Award

Lauren is competing in the Marathon Des Sables 2021, dubbed the “Toughest foot race on Earth” to raise money for Hope for Children.

Lauren trained for the race in April 2020 but this was postponed, first to April 2021 and then again to Oct 2021 - despite this Lauren, and all our MDS runners, did not give up and continued to train and fundraise.  Lauren smashed her fundraising target when she raised a staggering £7,200 in one night (Nov 2019) by hosting her own gala ball, a great night was had by all!

Despite already hitting her MDS fundraising target of £8,000 Lauren continued to take on challenges and raise money!

In May 2020 she took on the Centurion challenge of 100 miles in 5 days and then in Nov 2020 another challenge to run 230 miles in 7 days! Both times appealing to her friends and family to donate to Hope for Children.

Margaret Smith

The Ann Parsons Memorial Award

Margaret is a valued member of the Potten End community and has been a supporter and volunteer for Hope for Children for many years.

Margaret and her team of friends in the area organise the Winter Warmer each year, a lunchtime event where the residents of Potten End come together in the Church hall to enjoy each others company and raise money for Hope for Children.

Thank-you so much to Margaret, and the many helpers who make this event a great success year after year.

Vicky Wallace

Outstanding Achievement Cup

The Achievement Cup recognises one of our many volunteers, none of which we could manage without, as they give up their time and help us to achieve our goals. The award this year goes to Vicky Wallace.

Vicky is a loyal and hardworking supporter to whom we owe a great deal! An ex-employee, who despite being incredibly busy, still makes time to support and guide the student fundraising team at Hope for Children when they need her wisdom and knowledge… We appreciate everything you do and truly value having you as a member of the Hope family
