This is Ronald Aswim - This 5 year old boy was living in a rubbish dump, competing for scraps of food with dogs and rats. Thanks to hope he is now in boarding school as part of our Walk 2 School programme. He's flourishing, very bright and is doing well at Primary school.

In this photo he's wearing the head of programmes' sunglasses after stealing them during a day out. A group of three orphans were taken out for a day, we went to a shopping centre for their first taste of ice cream, they also saw their first escalator and their first flushing loo!

The glasses were eventually returned after a long period of negotiation and bribery involving a hamburger and bottle of sprite.

Why Should I Help Just One Person?

One of the best things about Hope for Children is our attitude towards this question...With our small size comes flexibility.

Unlike the larger charities we are able to focus our support on the very neediest of projects and even individual cases. We do not just blanket our money blindly!

Why should I help just one person? Because who else will...
