Alice is an 11year old girl from the Macahcos district of Kenya near Nairobi.
Since her parents died she has had to share a single room with her grandmother
and seven other family members. A very bright pupil, the current government
education and cramp living conditions don't do her justice. She would
benefit greatly from nearby primary boarding school which would also relieve
space at home for the younger siblings. Frequently going hungry, this
arrangement would also provide her with the necessary food intake to progress
successfully with her studies.
