Hope for Children has been running an urgent appeal for the children of Zimbabwe. The current food crisis continues to have a major impact on the lives of communities in rural and remote areas. We are grateful for the support so far but so much still needs to be done. It is predicted that Summer crops will feed no more 28% of the population according to an alert issued by the Famine Early Warning Systems Network, FEWSNET.
We are still urgently seeking funds to help feed some the worst affected communities and provide vital medical supplies that are now inaccessible to the majority of the population. Of the 5 million people facing famine at the end of this year, at least half of them are children. Our partner agencies on the ground are seeking our help urgently to assist with this humanitarian disaster.
We are aiming to raise £ 50,000 urgently.
We will aim to offer long-term sustainable support, access to education, developing self-sufficiency, healthcare and nutrition.
Please help and donate some hope to those who really need it.
